You have never seen so much sand again!
As you reach the area, you will have the first impression of this lengthy beach from up high. Although there are several beaches in Falassarna bay, “Pachia Ammos” (Thick sand) is the most famous because of its length (1km ) and wide (150 meters). It is located 60 km west of Chania and has been voted one of the 10 best beaches in all Europe as it is part of the Natura 2000 network as well. Thanks to its size, you never feel crowded. Exposed to northerly and westerly winds it becomes all the more attractive to windsurfers as there are often large waves. If you are interested in archaeology,the remains of a fortified Hellenistic harbor are waiting for you. The feel of the sand will follow you everywhere!
Full description-Duration 7-8 hours
Your private car will pick you up from your hotel at the scheduled time and will lead you directly to the beach. There is optional stop for coffee, drinks or snacks before we arrive at the beach. We will be able to stay at the beach for up to 4 hours and then we will return back. There is optional stop during the way back for lunch.
