Knossos

Walking through the paths of history you will inevitably reach the Palace of Knossos, known as the ceremonial and political center of the Minoan civilization and culture. An important city in antiquity, located 5km south of Heraklion, which was inhabited continuously from the Neolithic period until the 5th c. AD. The famous palace is connected with thrilling legends, such as the myth of the Labyrinth, with the Minotaur and the story of Daidalos and Ikaros. Keep walking in another era! The numerous finds from the Palace like pottery, vessels, figurines, original wall-paintings, antiquities from all over Crete, are all housed in the Archaeological Museum of Heraklion. A “must see” during your stay in Crete.

Full description- Duration 9-10 hours
Your private car will pick you up from your hotel at the scheduled time and will lead you directly to the Palace that is about 2 hours drive away from Chania. We will be able to stay at the palace for up to 2 hours after that we will visit the archaeological museum of Heraklion and then we will return back. There is optional stop during the way back for lunch.
