The Fortezza is the citadel of the city of Rethymno in Crete. It was built by the Venetians in the 16th century, and was captured by the Ottomans in 1646. By the early 20th century, many houses were built within the citadel. These were demolished after World War II. Today, the citadel is in good condition and is open to the public.
The Arkadi Monastery is an Eastern Orthodox monastery. The monastery played an active role in the Cretan resistance of Ottoman rule during the Cretan revolt of 1866.
The Museum of Ancient Eleutherna displays exhibits from the site of Eleutherna, a city-state in Crete, which flourished from the Greek Dark Ages until Byzantine times. The exhibits span a period of three and a half millennia (3000 BC to 1300 AD) and include objects of art and everyday life from Prehistoric, Geometric, Archaic, Classical, Hellenistic, Roman and Byzantine eras.
Margarites is a small traditional village located in the prefecture of Rethymno. The village is known for its unique pottery tradition, its picturesque alleys, and its well-preserved architecture. Margarites is a perfect destination for those seeking an authentic Cretan experience and a glimpse into the island’s rich history and culture.

Your private car will pick you up from your hotel or house at the scheduled time and we will lead you to the Venetian Fortress “Fortezza” in the city of Rethymnon. After that we will lead you to the beautiful with a long history, Monastery of Arcadi. After that we will lead you to the museum of ancient Eleftherna, the first archaeological museum of Crete. From there we will lead you to the village with the beautiful types of ceramics, Margarites. We will stop there for lunch. And after that we will drive you safely back to your hotel or house.
